Claiming a game bought on Origin

HI Community,

I have bought a game back in 2020. using Origin (which was platform of choice back then) and installed it on my PC (Windows 10).

That PC remained dormant over the years, and I've powered it back up few months ago. The game was still working, but Origin complained that my credentials were invalid or expired (Username and password).

After checking the EA site, I've noticed that Origin was obsolete and now EA app was the thing to use. After updating it (it detected correctly the Origin installed), my credentials were still invalid, so I've created a new account (e-mail and password). In the new EA app my game is not shown, but it's still installed and working on the Windows drive.

If I try to claim via the EA online account, I need to input a Product code - which I don't have. I've found the "Order Confirmation" e-mail from Origin, but there is no code in there - the instructions state to use the Origin client.

Is there a way to reclaim my game, or is it lost and I need to buy it again?

Thanks.

EDIT: Updated with details from the order e-mail.

  • Hi Barry,

    thanks for your quick response.

I didn't manage to contact the EA Game Advisor, as all the links on the Account page seem to be automated (ie. there's no contact available).

However, I did try to recover the account associated with the e-mail address where I've received the order confirmation - and that worked (although I never intentionally created an EA account to that e-mail address).

After recovering that account, I was able to see my game again - so case resolved.

    Thanks.
