Do origin game codes redeem on EA desktop

I am going to get a key for the f1 22 game, but the code is for the origin platform, (which I do not have and cannot install). Would I be able to redeem this origin code on EA desktop and still get the game?

    Hi @DippyDappyDoo To confirm EA App is meant to be EA's new PC client that will bring the games you owned from Origin over. If you have a key that mentions it's for Origin you should still be able to redeem it on the EA app, bearing any issues like it's already used, it's an illegitimate key, etc.

    I redeemed a game on Origin and it did not transfer over to EA, and when I tried to redeem the code for the same game again on EA it just said that it had already been used.
