This is strange to be honest.
- Press the Windows key and "i" at the same time > Updates & Security
- In the "Updates" tab go to "update history"
- Make a screenshot of the last 5 or 6 update installed and load it up
- Look if there are failed updates listed.
- if yes look if they got successfully installed afterwards.

Hi
All are showing as successful

- Press the Windows key and "i" at the same time > Apps
- Search for: Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019.
- Deinstall all Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019 versions that are present.
- Restart the Computer.
- Go back to post #6 from @EA_Jason and install both VC++ 2015 versions.
- Restart the Computer.
- Test.
If it works go here and download and install the X86 and X64 versions of the 2015 - 2022 VC++ runtimes.
(You might need them for other games or applications, you don't need the ARM64 version.) - 4 years ago
Still no luck.
Its showing up briefly in the task manager but then disappears

OK, from my point of view this could be a problem with the games as well as with Windows.
If you don't mind I will as @EA_Jason about your MSInfo and come back to you.Edit: Please tell me your EA Desktop version number.
- 4 years ago@holger1405 if that helps please do. Version is 12.0.147-5024-ac1be4982
- 4 years ago@holger1405 Please do, my version is 12.0.147-5024-ac1be4982
- holger14054 years agoHero+
OK, that is an older version, mine is 12.0.149-5028-6ce4e51db and should be up to date.
Please go to the EA Desktop menu: (3 lines, top left.)
Help > App recovery.
If you have games in Origin that contain mods, make a backup of the game folders before you use this command.
App recovery should force a validation of the games in Origin. - 4 years ago@holger1405 That method didnt work but I reinstalled from the website. Its the same as your one now, still no different though. I've been playing fifa21 through it and yet cant load up battlefield v or dragon age 3..hopefully the MSInfo will help you

What was the problem with the App recovery?
@EA_Jason will replay to you about the MSInfo tomorrow.

Yes yes I'm here.
Could you create a case on https://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/ and attach your MsInfo32 to you case @🤭lvlattOo?
That way I can have a look without you having to share your MsInfo publicly.
- 4 years ago@EA_Jason thats been done, case no is #93653291

@🤭lvlattOo It doesn't seem to be the full MsInfo32, make sure that you don't click on any of the tabs before exporting it as a .txt file.
Otherwise it will only show the info of that specific tab. - 4 years ago@EA_Jason oops, redone it
- 4 years ago@EA_Jason Hi, any chance you've managed to look at it yet?

I just had a look and I couldn't find any VC++ errors in the MsInfo, but I did notice that you are using FrostyModManager and you mentioned that only games using the Frostbite engine crash.
Do you have any mods installed for these games and when you performed a Clean Boot, did you only launch the EA app and the game without any mods or FrostyModManager?
I had completely forgotten about FrostyModManager honestly. No mods were installed so it was clean version and I had only ever tried to use the EA app to launch the games. For whatever reason though, I hit disable mods in FMM and refreshed the app and now they launch.
@holger1405 @EA_Jason Thank you both for the suggestions and general help, this has been bugging me for so long so I'm so glad its fixed now 🙂 - EA_Jason4 years ago

@🤭lvlattOo No problem, I am happy to see that we could figure it out and that you can play again!
