Your games are tied to your account so you need to login to the account where you got your game. As you found out it will not work to create a new account.
When you try to reset a forgotten password an email will be sent to the email address you specified when creating the account. If you no longer have access to that you will need to contact support who will ask you some questions to verify that it is your account such as the credit card used or other.
