Feedback on impressions with installation and first view
as usual the app seeks to install to C: by default but i run an ssd and i only want the operating system on it, since it isnt big enough to install all games and also it is at 92% health. the more installed on it, the more read and writes, and the faster it deteriorates and i cant afford to replace it and windows 10 at the moment.
i mention all that because i click change and instead of allowing me to browse OR edit the existing location, it goes straight to browse. all i wanted was to change C: in the existing location to D: because i have Program Files folder already on D: for just this situation. also D: is a 2 TB drive so is where all games are installed to.
instead i had to guess that the Electronc ... section of the default location = /Electronic Arts/ and create the folder inside program files folder and hope that duplicates what you wanted to do on C:
it might be easier to leave the default location in the box when ppl click change so if all they need is to change drive letter, they can just do that, rather than guess what the cut off text of the default link is and have to go to that location in windows explorer and create folders to replicate the default location on another drive.

the ea app does NOT close when i click the button top right of window. i would like an option 'always close dont minimise to tray'
not every gamer has the latest gaming rig with a 20 core cpu and 1 tb of ram that they can have multiple game clients open all the time.

i also have not shutdown and restarted yet. so i dont yet know if your app installed to run on windows start - and I DONT WANT IT TO. give more settings, or i will stick with origin. and if in future the 'app' still insists on virus like behaviour when windows starts, i will uninstall it and demand a refund on the game i bought over the years. because without these crucial settings in your app, to NOT run on startup, NOT minimise to tray unless a game is running, i will will just uninstall it.

it doesnt seem as clean and easy to read as origin. my library was bad. my games would be better. same applies to 'collections'
collections of what? what does that have to do with games? my FIRST impression was 'where the hell are my installed games? am i supposed to find them now or will it reinstall them?' and thats not a good first impression. better to just call it 'my games' then people instantly know whats in that screen - the games they own including those not installed.

the app doesnt detect jedi fallen order bought on steam, for some reason.

default screen to show on open. this setting seems missing although it exists in origin (and you override it to nag people into downloading a BETA app ignoring their wishes and settings in origin - which is frankly a sign of corporate arrogance and taking your customers and their money for granted). since i dont often have loads of cash just lying around, i want to open your app (origin OR this beta thing) on my GAMES. not your home advertising board. if i dont have money, you can advertise all you like and all you do is annoy me. an option please, that you cannot override to advertise anything, to open the app on my games rather than browse or home. if i have cash i can click those other options.
i can see potential in this app. but it is definitely a beta. when i have time, i will try reinstalling battlefront II which i uninstalled because it just wouldnt run on origin anymore, unless i had only one display running on gaming laptop, when it bluescreened windows 10 as often as it actually loaded up and ran. it didnt bluescreen with both displays running, just closed again without running. it will be interesting to see if it still does that with the 'EA app' because if so, it rules out origin as the cause. assuming this really is a new app from the ground up and uses nothing from origin.
thats all the fedback i jave so far
