first, close origin
It tells me to close Origin, yet it is already closed. Why is this and how can I fix it? I kept downloading the app, repairing it, deleting it, I always had Origin closed, yet it still told me to close it.

See if a task of Origin runs through the task manager. Sometimes, they are left running in the background.
