It really is unacceptable that there's no way to play this almost-entirely-offline single-player game which is entirely downloaded onto my computer without using the internet to log in first. I bought The Sims 4 years ago because I remember playing 3 on trips when I—like many potential customers—had no internet access. I have enjoyed playing offline for those years, but I can't do that anymore because logging in requires internet access (even though my computer is supposed to KEEP me logged in). I can't imagine how tempting it must be now for people with limited internet access to just pirate the game so they can play it locally.
This needs to be fixed.
Has a solution to the problem been found? I messaged EA two weeks ago and still haven't gotten a reply back. I haven't been able to play The Sims since EA forced me to update to their app and get rid of Origin, and that was a month ago. It doesn't matter how many times I put it in offline mode, it always tells me that I have to sign in online in order to play offline. It's really frustrating and I'm beginning to wonder if there's an alternative to playing The Sims without the EA app.

I presume this hasn't been fixed? Sigh. Currently having Internet problems and experiencing this issue. What's the point of a game that needs the Internet just to load?! It's ridiculous! At least with origin it would open the main bit and give you the option to play offline if you were having problems. Ea app doesn't even load up! Frustrating to say the least...

This has still not been fixed. Absolutely ridiculous, boneheaded decisions all across this app's implementation, of which this has been the most frustrating so far.
