I have recently installed the EA app, as was recommended. Before with the Origin app I could choose the play offline, but now that is not possible anymore.
My internet is currently down.
I cannot open the Sims without opening the EA app, and the EA app does not work offline.
Is there any way to solve this or to bypass the EA app?
Today my EA.app decide to not start... Internet is OK but not this app, and is not the first time.
Sometimes i need to reinstall, sometimes i need to wait a day... other time i need to unistall, clear and reinstall (last time 2 hous of work!), so I can't play when i want...
So I've decided that I'll never buy anoter EA game after many years, my first EA game was "Skate or Die!" on Commodore 64 in 1988, long long time ago.
Now i've passed 50, so i can't wait a "perfect EA app" for play... is 2 years passed and the app i getting more worse, probably it wil be perfect at my 100 birthday!
EA needs to make it possible for people to play the sims 4 without an internet connection and without having to put their app in "offline mode" which you can't even activate unless you are online which kind of defeats the purpose of going offline...
how do I play the Sims 4 in OFFLINE mode.. every time????
When I select offline ^^ as stated above, it specifically says it will place it in offline mode BUT the next time I want to start and play the game again, it automatically puts it back in ONLINE mode.
What the hell, what if I am not wanting to connect to the internet every single time I want to play the game. I have to connect ON-line EVERY-TIME I want to play in OFF-line ???
You can’t put it in offline mode if you have no wifi to open the darn app
Has this still not been resolved? It is ridiculous that I need to be connected to the internet to even open the EA app and Sims 4 program. If I prefer to keep my computer offline, can I still play the game without having to log in first??
Update y'all... it's 2025 still can't play The Sims with no internet. Even if your EA app opens , It will still tell you that the app couldn't connect to EA servers.
This issue is 3 years old?! I came home to a downed tree and no internet. Ok Ill just play some Sims! EXCEPT I CANT! Because its telling me to put it into offline mode... yeah tell that to my tree thats laying on the line waiting for workers to get to me... EA THERE IS NO EXCUSE for this junk! 🤬🤬🤬
