How to play sims 4 offline with ea app?

So I have the ea app on my laptop on offline mode. I don’t have Wi-Fi at my place but I had the sims 4 downloaded at my parents, launched and everything. When I click on the ea app it’s says “Check your internet connection while we try to reconnect you, or launch one of your installed games to play offline.” And under installed games it shows The Sims 4, but it will not open when I click the blue play button. Why is this not working when my sister has played it at our house offline on her laptop?

@fishmorg1016 Okay after a phone call apparently she didn’t play it here I just thought she did. It’s disappointing if I can’t play it until we get Wi-Fi though

So frustrating. Before we were forced to the garbage heap that is the EA app, I could play offline. No I can't even get the app to open because the "network isn't networking" so some BS.
