Question about the EA app and purchasing games

Has the EA App issues when purchasing games/packs been fixed? A while back I unfortunately ran into an issue the last time I bought anything, but luckily the app recovery I did resolved it. But I am wary of any further purchasing through the EA App unless I know it has been resolved.

I did I quick search but didn't find anything in this.

  • I posted over in the EA App forum asking if the issues with purchasing has been fixed? Thought I would come post here as I also had a question regarding in-game main menu pack purchasing. How does that work? Does it send you back to the EA App? Or is it a separate thing? 🤔

I have been wary of any purchasing through the EA App since I ran into the issue  some time ago when getting the Book Nook kit, luckily that issue was resolved with an app recovery.

    Hello @Wholesome_Goth

Which purchase issue specifically do you mean?

When you purchase a pack through the in-game Sims menu, an EA app overlay will pop up to complete the purchase there, then the pack will download in the app. You would need to restart your game once the download is complete in the EA app in order to access your new pack.

It was the issue where the pack either didn't show up at all or it wouldn't let me download...been a while so I don't recall exactly what issue I had, as said previously mercifully the issue I had was easily resolved with the app recovery.

I know some where having a harder time resolving the issue/s they were having, after a purchase...

Thanks for answering the second question I had. 🙂

Gotchya, if you mean the issue in the thread here, that has now been resolved. However, if you do run into any issues with your purchase or download, you can certainly let us know and we'd be happy to take a look with you 🙂

  • I been avodiing EA APP/Origin for as long as it been a thing, I recently broke down to just play DA:I, which works, but I also decided to buy rest of DA game on PC too, bad mistake, Game didnt want to launch correctly, apparently no controller support either, which tracks for alot pc game port from console back then. But when I went to uninstall them, DA:O didnt uninstall all the DLC and game files, Same for DA:2.

Went to get refund on both and apparntly EA will only give me refund on 1 of 2, and they both bought same time and asked for refund both with in 2 hours of actual buy them.

When I am done with DA:I  and removing EA APP and avoiding it like I original did. Really wish EA allow Steam to sell there game and not REQUIRE there crappy EA APP installed and running too. I am not fond of this Gamestore/Launcher for each and ever developers, never have been never will be.

Horrible experience with there EA APP just it was with Origin, when I had to deal with for uncle so he could play his games.

It PC games let steam sell game with out need for 3rd party gamestore/launcher
