I posted over in the EA App forum asking if the issues with purchasing has been fixed? Thought I would come post here as I also had a question regarding in-game main menu pack purchasing. How does that work? Does it send you back to the EA App? Or is it a separate thing? 🤔
I have been wary of any purchasing through the EA App since I ran into the issue some time ago when getting the Book Nook kit, luckily that issue was resolved with an app recovery.

Which purchase issue specifically do you mean?
When you purchase a pack through the in-game Sims menu, an EA app overlay will pop up to complete the purchase there, then the pack will download in the app. You would need to restart your game once the download is complete in the EA app in order to access your new pack.
It was the issue where the pack either didn't show up at all or it wouldn't let me download...been a while so I don't recall exactly what issue I had, as said previously mercifully the issue I had was easily resolved with the app recovery.
I know some where having a harder time resolving the issue/s they were having, after a purchase...
