As for the Onedrive, unless you use it, I would personally just disable it so that it stops happening, Since Onedrive is automatic, you have to disable it, or just log out and turn it off.
@EA_Shepard This is not an acceptable answer. The My Documents folder is included in OneDrive as part of the Windows automatic backup feature and cannot be turned off if you are using File On Demand. It should be relatively easy for the application to switch to either the AppData or LocalAppData directory to store these types of files per Microsoft recommendations.
Which is a lot easier to do than cobbling together the path to the documents folder in Python by the way. Or any other language for that matter.
