Hey @GabMeKing this kind of error can point to something blocking Origin, can you ensure that your firewall and anti-virus are not blocking Origin and that you also have the ports for Origin open

The ports to open are:

TCP: 80; 443; 9960-9969; 1024-1124; 3216; 18000; 18120; 18060; 27900; 28910; 29900

UDP: 1024-1124; 18000; 29900

You can also try turning off the routers firewall to see if it helps.

    Oh my god do these guys read anything we say??? It’s to do with EA DESKTOP NOT ORIGIN...

  • @EA_Darko so do you have any solutions for EA Desktop App because my credit card was just charged for EA Play Annual but the first game I tried downloading isn't downloading. Need for Speed: Heat

    Hey @KESZIEKESZIE what is happening when you try to play the game, are you seeing an error message of any kind?

  • So there is no fix for EA Desktop's pathetic download speeds? Cause I do not see anybody in this thread asking about orgins

    There is a fix that a user found on the last page (May I specify a user) which is as simple as launching it in admin mode 😞

  • I’m currently downloading a game (to EA app NOT Origin) at a speed of 70-72kb. I’ve seen so many people who have reported the same download speeds. If it were a connectivity issue, it doesn’t make sense that so many different people in different places with different internet connections and plans are ALL reporting this same thing.

    I’ve been downloading ONE ☝️ game for the past TWO days and nights. This is after spending two days troubleshooting the app to make it run. I lowered my firewall, other security and all permissions.

    I’m only at 30% and this isn’t even including all the packs. I’m still here only because I have invested thousands of hours in this one version of the game, (+ a lot more on other versions). . If I were a new player, I wouldn’t be. I’d quit. I thought Origin was bad... smh.  

    It’s gut wrenching, knowing how much I have lost, already - ALL of my saves. All mods and cc. I’ve seen this is typical for way too many people.

    I am open to suggestions.Thanks in advance.

    How do we check which ports are open?? Why is this so complicated?

    Did you ever find a workaround or solution to slow download speeds?? I’m looking at 50% and 72kb (yes KB!!) on ONE game - haven’t even started w the packs, yet

  • @OkabeXR literally just clicked on the end of the thread to find the only answer that helped at all. Thanks! Ran it on administrator and it helped bring me from bytes and kb to MB.

    The problem with this fix is that it doesn't work, for me atleast. All i see is the Admin coming with bs gaslighting responses. Running admin mode did nada for me, my download will take 1470hr's at this pace.
