Trying to switch EA account linked to PlayStation account

Me and some of my friends (two brothers) were trying to get back into pvz: gw2, but they accidentally signed the wrong PlayStation account into the wrong ea account (Ps account A had EA account B). So we unlinked it to swap it, then got hit with "you cannot swap" (do not remember exact message, but it won't let us sign in a new account). So now one of their accounts are locked out of having an ea account linked. They can't even play the game at all.

How do we fix this?

  • Hi there. There is a limit with linking/unlinking accounts. It's possible you've hit that. I recommend contacting an advisor to see if they can help. Please use the 'Contact us' button at the bottom of this page to open a case. Thanks!

You've most likely hit the limit for linking an account. You can find more details on that here. Again though, I recommend you contact an advisor to see if they can help with this.

Unfortunately, EA account linking can be very restrictive. Once a PlayStation account has been linked to an EA account, simply unlinking it doesn't always allow it to be connected to a different EA account right away. In most cases, the only solution is to contact EA Support directly and explain the situation. They can check the account history and tell you whether the link can be restored or transferred. I would recommend gathering all account details before contacting them to make the process easier.
