EA App Nickname
I've looked at previous forums regarding this and it's outdated as the edit profile option is not there for me. I can not change it and i do not want strangers knowing sensitive information since EA randomly choose a nickname based on an email i used and not even going on the website does nothing. Hello, I own the Standard Edition of A Way Out and it appears correctly in my EA library as a purchased game. However, when I try to download and launch it, the game only opens as the Friend Pass version instead of the Standard Edition. I purchased Spore back in 2011 from Amazon. I entered the code in Origin and have played it off an on for years. fast forward to today, I download what is now the EA app (very disappointing) and Spore is no longer in my library. My addons for the game are still there but the base game is gone. I reach out to support who says there is nothing they can do and direct me to Amazon (LOL). I know it may seem crazy to try and recover a game that was 9 dollars 15 years ago but it is the principle. I purchased the game I should be able to play it permanently, a company shouldn't be able to purchase a company or migrate to a new launcher, lose a players game and tell them sorry, you are SOL. So because EA used to sell its games only in Origin, I had to buy them there (Battlefield, NFS, Crysis, Dead Space series). But when they returned to Steam, I bought them again in Steam. I had Crysis 2 standard edition, which I bought on a physical disc. Then I bought Crysis 2 Maximum edition in EA Store years ago. So I had 2 separate copies in my library: one from retail, one from digital store. Almost the same story with the NFS Most Wanted 2012 (here I first bought digital standard edition, then bought retail Limited Edition). Also I had Star Wars The Old Republic in my library in which I spent hundreds of hours and dollars. I also had Battlefield 2 Complete Edition, but now it shows, that I only have Special Forces DLC So effectively EA stole 3.75 games from me. I get, that they merged Crysis 2 and NFS Most Wanted. But they did that without my consent. I paid twice for them, so I think I'm eligible for either refund or a key for copies, that they took away from me. Steam never steal or merge anything. So I recently discovered my ea account had been hacked and that they changed the email linked to it when i tried playing titanfall 2 through steam. I was able to recover my account through the ea support but i was told by support that i had been banned in apex. I was told i could just appeal it with the tos team and it should be fixed. I have appealed it almost 6 teams now and its been 3 weeks since my first appeal and i keep getting denied without any explanation. I cant even try to talk to them since they have no way to contact the tos team and if you contact the support team they tell you to send an appeal so you just end up in a never ending loop. I did some research and this has been an issues across many users and just shows that ea doesn't take their customer security seriously.
