Reset password on a recognized device Issue
Hello! I have seen a few people post about this, but I haven't found a solution. My email information and password were found in a data breach (yay) so I wanted to change my password for my EA account. I tried logging in, my password wasn't working, I selected the "forgot password"/"reset password" option, it sent me to the "Reset password on a recognized device" page. I tried to open sims 4 to do the "go online and prompt will appear in-game to reset your password or verify your identity" method - Sims 4 wont open without the EA app. I tried launching sims through steam, same thing, it tries to open the EA app. I don't play any other EA games. Interestingly, my other account (which I am currently using to post this) was fine with letting me reset my password through an email link. I am so annoyed, and so frustrated. I am really hopeful for a solution, because I will be furious if I lose my nearly 700 hours of sims 4 work.15Views0likes0CommentsDeleted original email, cant get help with support
I still actively use and access my EA account through my linked Xbox account and have had continuous access to it for years. However, the original email connected to the EA account was deleted a long time ago and cannot be recovered through Google anymore. Because of this, I cannot receive verification codes needed to update or change the email address on the account. I have already contacted EA Support multiple times and tried account recovery several times. I provided information such as: Xbox purchase history, linked Xbox gamertag, previous account details, approximate account creation period, other information I could remember The problem is that the account was created back in 2019 when I was younger, so I cannot remember every exact detail originally entered on the account. Support keeps telling me that some details are incorrect, but they do not specify which ones. I can still fully access the EA account through Xbox login today. The main issue is only the inaccessible email address.23Views0likes2CommentsMain Menu Background Updates in Off-Line Mode??
I am a bit concerned that EA/MAXIS infiltrates my personal computing system without my express consent. To Start: A) ALL Update settings are set to OFF in the EA App. B) The EA App is set to Off-Line mode. 1 - Why was the EA app closed? 2 - Who closed the EA App? 3- How is a global change made to a non-updated game? On Monday, May 11, 2026, I was in off-line mode. On the Main Menu page, the background was that original blue swirly thing. I was playing one of my saves and was actually in her house. I left my computer on and the game open. The gameplay for the household was paused. I did not put my computer to sleep. The Sims 4 Update was Tuesday, May 12, 2026. I did not use my computer on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Nothing should have changed on my computer. Today is Wednesday, May 13, 2026. I went to my computer and it was in sleep mode. I did not put my computer to sleep. My computer security check is on. Much to my annoyance, the EA App was closed. (This is not the first time. I've been paying more attention.) Upon logging back into the app, I immediately went back to off-line mode. At first the game would not open. I had to log out and back in again and went back to off-line mode again. This time the game opened and much to my surprise the main menu background is the Bridgerton Ballroom. How did the main menu background change to the Bridgerton Ballroom if I am playing off-line and have not updated my game? How is the code changed and applied to my computer if I have done everything to keep that from happening? This is only possible because EA/MAXIS must be accessing my computer and making changes at will. Which would then explain why the only thing closed was the EA App. I last updated my game on April 30, 2026, My current game version is PC: 1.123.85.1020, which it should be as I have no intention to update for the next few weeks. As stated, my game is in off-line mode and all updates are turned off in the EA App settings. Before using the EA App, I NEVER had this type of intrusion into my computer. I could leave my computer on for weeks and it would not shut down nor close programs I left open. My concern is none of the other software I use has ever closed my computer and forced anything without me initiating it. I am now a bit concerned and actually afraid EA/MAXIS may be doing other things to my computer without my consent. Any explanation, as it relates to the above thereto, would be greatly appreciated.13Views0likes1CommentActivating Fifa 12 and older EA games
Hello, I am having activation issues with older EA games that I legally own on CD with valid serial numbers. These games were originally registered through Origin and now appear in my EA app library. I can download and install them, but when I launch them, an old EA activation window appears and says my computer is offline and needs an Internet connection, even though I am online. One example is FIFA 12 for PC, but the same issue is happening with other older EA games on my account. I have already tried repair, administrator mode, compatibility mode, and checking firewall/antivirus settings, but nothing worked. Please check whether these games can still be activated through the EA app and whether my licenses are correctly linked to my EA account. Thank you.103Views0likes1CommentCan't log in to EA APP with Origin account
When I try to log into the EA App using the same login as I used for EA Browser, my account does not exist on the EA APP and recovery is not working in the browser. I've had Origin since 2013 and I had a multitude of Sims 3 games and a few Sims 4 games on there. I had the urge to log in and play a bit, but as per title, my Origin login credentials are not working for the EA app, but they work for the browser. I have tried over and over again to recover the account by using the EA ID, Steam account Link, email, etc, with no luck. It says something like "EA ID does not exist" when i try or "please put real steam id" etc. I have tried too many times, and now it's not letting me use anything at all to attempt to log in. I would like to know how to fix this, thank you.Solved105Views0likes1CommentCan’t add phone number to my EA account – “Something went wrong” error
When I try to add a phone number to my EA account, I get the following error message: Something went wrong. Try again later. I’ve already contacted EA support, but they couldn’t fix the issue. I’ve tried adding different phone numbers – none of them work. On my other EA account, adding a phone number works without any problems. Has anyone experienced this issue and found a solution?551Views2likes4Comments
