Visa Gift Card Compatability

I recieved a visa gift card over the holidays and am unsure of whether or not it can be used to purchase content from the EA app (specifically sims 4 add-ons). If anyone knows if/how it can be done, help would be very much appreciated. For additional context, I do not know the name and/or address it was purchased under.
