I bought The Witcher 3 back in 2015 when EA app was still Origin. Now CDPR is releasing a free update of the game which will include all DLC's and the remastered version. I saw no information regarding users that bought the game in Origin/EA app. Will I be able to get the free update or not?
I sure hope so, but I'm not holding my breath. I remember the last big update it took a long time for EA to release it and only after a bunch of people complained.
So, the Witcher 3 Remaster free update is just a couple of hours ahead, and all the platforms in PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games) are ready to release it, and users will be able to download it and play it.
I purchased it when it came out more than 10 years ago in the former Origin Platform, and when the next gen came, it was a pain to get it through Origin, but after several complains, we got the 4.04 version. Ok but, what now? EA App is not supporting the game anymore, but I'm still able to download it, and play it. So, EA, are you giving us the chance to download this update? Or do we have to buy it again from another platform?
Honestly, my expectations are zero

I hope so, purchased base game and all DLCs at full price on Origin/EA, I'd be VERY unimpressed if we don't get that free remastered update.
Yep, still nothing my side. People on other platforms are downloading the free Remastered update now :/
I was so annoyed about this that I ended up using my Epic Rewards on top of the 50% discount and bought the game again... THANKS EA
It came to roughly €19 on Epic Games.
Luckily, I bought Cyberpunk 2077 on Epic as well when they had a really good deal on it, so at least both games are now in the same place.
I guess my 360+ hours of gameplay and all those achievements will just remain memories for now... until I beat the whole thing again...

Dude, this is worse than I expected. EA App has now removed The Witcher 3 from my library now. WTF man? I was able to play the game yesterday, and today WTF EA?
Let's hope it's because it's about to be replaced with the remastered version!
Can anyone answer this for me? CDPR said "everyone who purchased tw3 gets a free update" - Yet here we are, it released and nothing. No word from anyone, just a lot of unhappy buyers.
So, should we just take our business elsewhere and never buy from EA again, because I, for one, purchased the base game with all DLCs at full price on Origin, yet here I am, waiting, hoping...
