2FA for android not supported QR code

I just tried to add second factor authentication (Google Authenticator) to my Ea account. But the Authenticator Apps (Authy and google Authenticator) both showed that the format is not supportetd. I switched form code for Android to the other options (Iphone/ windows phone etc.) back and forth but it would never work. I´m currently using 2FA for dozens of accounts and never had that kind of problem,

Google: Cannot interpret QR code.

Authy: Format not supported. Please try again.
