cannot open or repair Sims 4 on mac
When I try to open my sims 4 from the EA app on my mac, it just says 'application not responding' and won't open. I have tried to repair, but it just gives an installation error and gets stuck at 86%...

This is an EA App issue, moved to the EA App tech and bug forum. There are probably hundreds, if not thousands of posts on this issue.
zobellagio some of the patched content maybe completely unnecessary to you but not to the wider community. Not everyone uses Mods and CC and Maxis are not responsible in anyway for the negative effects incompatible and broken mods as a result of patching has on your game. You are responsible for making sure your Mods are up to date and if the creator hasn't updated them to work, then you remove them from your game.
