Can't link EA account to Epic

Question

I am attempting to install a new game from EPIC Games that I just picked up today. When I attempt to install it, it tries to open up EA Games. After which it fails out with "Something went wrong...
To continue linking your EA Account, head back and start over.". I have tried multiple times and continue to get this error. I have checked my linked accounts on EPIC Games and EA Games is not an option on there to even try to link. Same on the EA Games side, it doesnt show EPIC Games or the ability to link the account. Any help on this matter would be of great assistance.

Not exactly, support basically told me to try to reinstall the EA games app. I haven’t had the time to do it just yet, am gonna give it a shot here in the next hour or so when I get back home. I’ll update you on whether or not it works.
