For Me - EA App Instability is Unacceptable.
As per EA Leeuw, I am reposting this here. Thanks again. My Original January 26 2026 Message: Let me start by saying I love the SIMS and have been playing since the beginning. I've played all iterations, The Sims, Sims 2, MySims Wii, Sims Mobile, Sims City, Sims 3 Wii & PC and now Sims 4 & MySims on PC. I am also not one of those fly-by-nights who have recently decided to no longer play. Thank you for the Sims which has seen me through many ups and downs, including family tragedies, cancer cocktails and survival. So What Happened this time? While on-line, the EA App said I had no programs installed. Yet, when off-line, I am able to open my programs. This tells me something is broken with the EA App. And 'No" it is not my internet connection. . . I am immediately writing this message and submitting it On-Line. That being said, I find the issues with the EA App unacceptable. There were no constant issues like this with Origin. YouTube doesn't have these problems and it is a much bigger platform. Google & G-Mail do not have these problems, also much larger and widely used platforms. What is it about the EA App that make it sooo unstable? These are only questions that will hopefully be answered while I'm still on the planet. Please do not send me any cookie cutter responses. Instead provide cognitive clarity and fixes. Having trouble downloading Battlefront 2....
I only get this message on Battlefront's page. All the other games are just fine and downloadable. I have EA Play via Xbox Game Pass and I am sure my xbox account is linked perfectly fine. It doesn't matter how many times i try, i still get this message and the wont let me to play this game. I've tried app recovery, uninstalling the EA app , repair... It wont let me to start the download on the Xbox app too. What might be wrong? Thanks!Friend Request Errors
I am unable to accept or reject friend requests in the EA app. I have checked my privacy settings, logging in and out, restarting the app, app recovery, sending another request after canceling, and reinstalling the app. Myself and my friend are having the same issue. DA: Inquisition Requires Epic when purchased on EA app
I bought Dragon Age Inquisition a long time ago. I can't remember much about when, but I used whatever EA's thing was at the time, I'm thinking Origin, and I bought it through there. When I go to the ea app, I can see the games I've purchased. I installed Dragon Age from there, but every time I launch it, it launches the Epic Games store, as if to verify the purchase. But I don't own the game on Epic, so it just kind of fiddles out into nothing, and goes back to the epic library. I've tried reinstalling all apps, updating drivers, 7 different solutions from semi-related forum posts. But no matter what I do, the game will not launch. Epic just pops up. I even uninstalled Epic, and the app tells me I need to DOWNLOAD Epic, and errors out. What the heck is going on? Please help. :(
Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered shows question mark icon
Hello EA Support Team, I have an issue with Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered on PC (EA App version). When I launch the game, in Discord activity status, the game shows a question mark icon instead of the official game logo. The game is original and installed from the EA App. The game runs normally with no problems. Only the icon/logo is missing and replaced with a question mark. This happens without any mods. I even tried a community mod that forces the logo to appear in Discord, and it works, but the logo should appear correctly without any mod. This makes me think there might be an issue with how the EA App version registers the game executable or application metadata. Could you please check if this is a known issue or if there is a way to fix it? Thank you for your help. Best regards,
Stuck on 2% 'preparing' while downloading
I've just bought Mass Effect: Legendary Edition and have been trying to download it for the past god knows how long to no avail. I've followed every forum tutorial and reddit post that I could find relating to this problem — and it's still stuck looping 'preparing' on 2%. I've cleared the app cache through app recovery, ended the EA Background task in Task Manager, signed out and back in, restarted my computer, deleted my temp files, running the app as admin, cancelled the download in-app (where it then stays stuck in a cancelling loop), tried downloading the game on another drive (still got stuck), and more (even re-installed the app via the website after it originally downloaded through Epic) I know it's not a problem with my SSD or my internet since I was easily able to download another game the day before through Steam without any issues. What do I even do now?
EA app is missing from desktop
Hello For the past three hours I have been trying to fix this issue and any advice or help will be so appreciated. Last night the EA app was working perfectly for me, today I decided to play sims 4 but when I opened the EA app it was blank. So i closed the window and opened the app launcher to hit repair as sometimes the app just won't load unless I do it that way. I hit repair and from what I can remember without thinking I hit yes. I am pretty sure when I hit repair a pop up saying delete the EA app came up. After that everything when downhill. The EA app on my desktop became blank, it wouldn't open, I have tried what every youtube video and forum has said to do and I am losing hope that it will be fixed. I get the error message saying the the EA Desktop or EA launcher exe has been deleted or moved. I checked the recycling bin everything and I cannot find it on my laptop. If I try to open a game through the shortcuts on laptop it says I need to install the EA app. Please help me!
