Can't uninstall missing sims 4 game (game unplayable!!)

Hi friends, a while ago tried to move my sim 4 game to a hard drive, I deleted the game and tried to change the download location to the hard drive and move it over there. It didn't work and all my data seemed to be deleted so I got sad and stopped playing the game for a while.

Now I'm coming back to it and it seems like the game has downloaded again to a hard drive that is not connected to my computer (so idk where it even downloaded to). When I try to open the game it says a part is missing but when I try to uninstall it, it says i need disc access. Granting disc access doesn't actually change anything though because it seems to be trying to uninstall the game (like I said) from a file on a hard drive that doesn't exist.

I tried deleting the EA app and any sims files off my computer and trying again but had the same issue.

I guess it's some sort of file pathway issue but I don't know how to fix that, I play on a Mac. Worried I may never be able to play sims on my computer again and am not sure what to do! Any advice would be so so appreciated.
