Hi there, just had a similar experience for the same product.
Purchased a DLC for Sims 4, using the same payment method as I've used for the last few DLC packs. Keep in mind, I've purchased several of these in the last 12 months and never had a problem.
However, this time the EA portal mentioned that the payment had failed. Meanwhile, my bank has been charged 39.99 EUR, while I definitely had sufficient funds.
It has been 6 days since the "Failed Purchase", with an extremely unhelpful support bot who has not helped resolve the problem. Basically blaming the failed transaction on my bank, instead of taking responsibility for the failed purchasing process. See the attached conversation with the lovely "Akash T", who was not helpful at all.
I don't know if this failed process has anything to do with the recent ownership change of EA Games, but this is frustrating and has been a poor experience all round with EA Games support team.
I just want my money back, or give me access to what I paid for. Otherwise, this is flat-out FRAUD!
