Child taken away due to (non-existing) neglect

I have a months old legacy save file and my child keeps ''dying'' and being taken away every time by winterfest. It has happened multiple times in which I quit without saving and lose progress in order to not have my sim deleted unfairly.
I have a lot of Mods, all DLCs and am playing on the latest version.
