Cloud saves reset?

I could not get games to launch from the EA app, so I reset my internet and flushed DNS. When I logged back on, my Battlefield 1 profile was reset. I am missing all my controls/preferences/tweaks to make the gameplay fit my needs. I tried to find my cloud saves, and I can't? Are there no backups of my preferences saved to the cloud that I can restore? What happened that forced my preferences to get overwritten?
