DISK SPACE PROBLEM

I am updating my Sims 4 game (because it is required). I have 1 TB of space left on my Macbook Pro, so I know it will update and have the space it needs. But every time I try to update the game it says I have no space and need X amount to be available but it changes every time I try. I have restarted my device 4 times, uninstalled EA app, and deleted messages photos etc. for the space it's saying I need (when I literally have it). IDK what to do or what's wrong.
