Downloads frozen on EA app on Mac

hi, so I've been re-downloading all of my sims 4 add ons onto the ea app on my Mac and it had been going fine until about half way through downloading my packs when it stopped working and just froze at 99%. its been like this for the last few hours now and i have no idea how to fix it. I've tried pausing the download and quitting the app. does anyone know how to fix this?
