EA Anti Cheat Memory Usage Issue

Saw this first reported on the 2042 forums, but it's also affecting other titles for me.

EA Anti Cheat will eat up 18 - 19 gigs of RAM on my system and then eventually it will de-allocate that memory drawing usage down to a few hundred megs before it starts the cycle again.

Wow radio silence on this issue? EA where are you?

@token1856, 'we' are here, on the Battlefield 2042 boards where the issue is being discussed.

I will close this thread as it's on the EA app boards.

Exact same problem, EA FC 24. Anti-cheat starts at 25GB and cycles up to 49GB before restarting the loop.

  • Bro wtf is this, you guys mining off my machine??

To clarify it's 2042 for me.

Wanted to mention. My screenshot was 5 mins or so after closing the game.

It was up to 45,000 MB.  Literally used up all my ram, then it goes back to like around a gig or so and plays normal like the OP said.

Same thing happened to me as of yesterday. Can’t even play a game without my game stuttering and closing the app. Really hope they are aware of this issue and it’s fixed soon!
