It's worse than I thought.
I think the problem happened because I duplicated a folder of data that was in the MySims game, and put it in my folder of notes. The app must have targeted this file and deleted EVERYTHING surrounding it.
And it's worse than I thought because it's not just my Sims notes folder. It was all my games' notes folders. I had them all in one file and the EA app annihilated it all. That was years of screenshots and notes on World of Warcraft, Guild Wars 2, Palia, Spellcaster University, etc. But also CC I made myself, photoshop files, videos, html and css files. Everything is gone. I tried to use Recuva to restore some of it, but of course it wasn't possible to get everything unbroken, and I had to restore it on the only hard drive that had space on it: the one that got mutilated by the EA app, kicking down my chances of retrieving some more.
This app targets files like an effing virus. This is ridiculous. I'm appalled.
By the way, this message got moved to the MySims cozy bundle part of the forum. I do not have that cozy bundle. I just have the MySims of 2007.
