Please try performing a clean boot of the PC and following this guide to ensure all background applications are closed.
Something else that's active on the PC might be causing interference all this time.
You could also try setting up a new administrator account on the PC to check if the same issue persists when launching the App from there.
It might also help to try launching the EA App using a different connection to isolate the issue. Sometimes, the network is involved and might need to be reconfigured or troubleshooted.
