EA App Stuck on 2% "preparing"

Question

I'm trying to install Sims 2: The legacy pack and it is stuck on 2% "preparing". I had this same issue earlier this year when trying to re-download Sims 4 on my new laptop, but I did the steps EA suggested, clearing the cache, running it as admin etc, and that worked. But today, those steps are not working for sims 2: legacy.&nbsp;

Same happening to mine , haven’t been able to play sims 4 or anything for over 2 weeks

It's driving me crazy! It took me forever to get Ts4 installed but none of the steps I did are working for ts2. :(
