Just a heads-up—Origin for Windows PC has been officially retired for quite some time now, so I’m not entirely sure how you managed to get a working copy of it. You might be referring to Origin for Mac, which is indeed being sunset in the next few days.
If you still have an old (and now unofficial) version of Origin installed on your system, I strongly recommend fully uninstalling it—including any leftover files—before troubleshooting anything EA app-related. The same goes if you somehow have both Origin and the EA app installed side by side.
To properly remove everything, I suggest using Revo Uninstaller Free, and following the steps outlined here (just apply them to Origin):

Once both Origin and the EA app are fully uninstalled, download a fresh copy of the EA app for Windows from:

Install it and see if the issue persists.
