EA error

When I try to launch The Sims 4, a game I've been playing for a long time, I get an error message saying, "The game failed to start due to an error on our end." The game doesn't contain any DLC or exclusive content (CC). Thinking it might be a bug, I reset my computer and tried launching the game with a new EA account, but the problem persists.
