EA N - No Internet Unable to Open Sims 4

I downloaded Sims 4 today. Having issues with EA account unable to login, unable to load the Sims 4 from Steam, Steam account and EA account linked. Get an error 201 unable to login to account - doesn't even prompt with user name and password screen or try to login. Unable to connect to servers. Uninstalling and reinstalling EA app doesnt help, antivirus turned off, repair app, update app, launch manually from program files, clear cache, delete temp files and data, run as admin, open EA first then from Steam. Check for blocked ports, anything else you can think of I may have tried. Seen another user say only worked on factory resetting PC that's not an option and that is insane how invasive it is to get this to run.  It's just wasted my entire day - I'm frustrated and P'd off.  After large download and waiting for ages could not even boot for the first time. Not worth the hassle.

Tried every suggested fix and solution from years of threads and nothing working. Anyone else download today and having issues? Husbands EA desktop app is working, no issues with servers for him on other games. Anything to try I might not have tried or anyone else having issues? Crashed after preparing game and then just dies and gets no further. Banner on top of app when try to login from Steam is EA- No Internet. I unlinked my steam account and this reprompted the login window - I logged in again but was locked into relinking my steam account and now cannot unlink and relink for another 6 months. The game still never loaded just brought me to the landing page to enter username and password which I wasn't getting before but still got stuck at the same points on the other side on preparing game. I have no saves or anything as from first time install just cannot get any further.
