Re: [INFO REQUEST] Error Code: EC:10005 In EA app

The EA app won't launch on my MacBook Pro.

What I've already tried:

  1. Resetting my WiFi (x2)
  2. Restarting my computer (x4)
  3. Turning off my firewall (x7)
  4.  Redownloaded the EA app (x3)

Nothing is working. It won't even let me into the app to try and repair or clear my cache or anything. I also tried submitting an error report through the EA applications, but it won’t even let me submit it. 

For reference:

  • I was playing The Sims 4, closed the game at night and EA hasn't launched for days. 
  • Sims 4 didn't crash, I intentionally closed the application

Please help, I don't know what to do at this point.

    My computer is refusing to open EA right now as well. It’s been about a week since I last opened sims. I have done some of the same troubleshooting as you but it’s just not opening the app

    Mine is doing the same exact thing, but I was just playing Sims 4!

    I wonder if it's an EA issue rather than us...but I'm unable to submit a report to them because the app won't launch!! It's so frustrating!
