It was working fine for me this morning and now im having the same problems. Its either really on their end or we did something to mess it up.

It's not working for me either, so it's on their end.

Yeah this started happening to me yesterday 11/15 too. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling both the game and the app, repairing the game, running both as administrator, changing the game pathway to bypass the launcher, turning off my antivirus and firewall, literally everything I can think of. I also have NO mods at all. So this is definitely an EA app issue, not us. But who knows if EA is going to care enough to fix it.

The solutions EA proposes do not work. I'm playing (or trying to play) Dragon Age: Inquisition, and this has been happening for at least the last month. If I try to launch from:
- EA app, I get the "preparing game" pop-up - and then nothing happens.
- Steam, it opens the EA app, I get the "preparing game" pop-up - and then nothing happens.
- But if I launch from FrostyFix, it, in order:
- opens the EA app
- opens Frosty Mod Manager
- opens Steam (confirming to Launch Game with custom arguments)
- EA app prepares the game
- Game opens - and then closes after 5-10 seconds.
Before you say it - yes, I've tried removing all mods, uninstalling, reinstalling, and launching without mods, through the EA app.
I've tried everything in every EA forum and reddit post, every youtube video. Nothing works except to keep trying to launch through Frosty Fix. It launches and stays open about 5% of the time, without me ending background services or repairing files or doing literally anything differently. I'm trying the same thing again and again and sometimes getting a different result. What is wrong with your app???

Sims 3 was able to launch using the EA app. Sims 3 is an old game that has no updates. Maybe resent updates with active games caused some errors. I hope EA is able to find some solutions so we can all play the games we love.

This FINALLY worked for me and I came back here so I could let everyone know. Go to this link: The Sims 4 Not Opening? The Ultimate Fix Guide
There are different levels of troubleshooting broken down in the article. Go to Level 3 and try #7. For me, the problem turned out to be a corrupted save file. I created a brand new game file with no saves or anything, like I just bought and downloaded the game for the first time, and it worked! Game launched and ran smooth as butter.
