Games wont start

Hey, so whenever i try to start "A Way Out" via Steam or the EAApp it just goes to the "Preparing game" screen and then back to the App without any error notification. The same thing happens with every other game on the EAApp. Ive seen lots of people with the same issue for years and nobody seems to have a fix for it. I tried everything that was mentioned in previous threats and its still not working.

  • I have the same problem. After a long hiatus from playing the games on Origin, when I went to play them again I was forced into getting the EA App in order to continue playing those games. So I got the app, tried to start some of the games, none of them worked. All of this was last year sometime, don't remember the exact date, however, after some hunk-a-junking around with some of the suggestions, I was able to play my games again. After a couple of months, I was again on hiatus from playing then tried again summer of last year. My Mass Effect 3 will not run, now it says the key is wrong (which I find odd as I played almost 3500 hours of this game) so I checked and it shows a different key in the EA App than what I had in Origin (although I was able to play this game after previous fixes for ea app but then not after my hiatus). When I try to insert the key that is on my "legal pamphlet" it wont let me, it tells me that I am offline, but clearly I am online and it shows me as online.

Does the key change when DLC's are added?

I have tried to play Anthem just now and it fails to start that game as well.

I want my Origin back, at least I could play the games I paid for.

  • Vsbby  jurascernas KPACHA_3OPA mrkr1995  Ive been having this issue for ages but i got mine to work, its a bit of an annoying fix but it helped me, create a new user account on your computer, I set up one with a different email address, your games should still be installed, sign into steam/ ea/epic then try your games.

worked for me with bf5 ( all i have installed )

annoying that i have to swap users to play it but you can at least play your games while ea continues to do nothing about this.

didn't have to run as admin or anything just worked as it used to.  I think the EA app doesn't like certain programs or files, haven't been able to figure out what one / ones.
