I bought the game on Steam, but EA is asking me to buy it again.

So I have the game on steam, bought it on discount, yet EA is not letting me play because it wants me to buy the game for a second time. Is there anyway that EA support can solve this, or do I need t...

    Hey p25vbgdyb62b​, 

    It sounds like your Steam and EA accounts are either unlinked or not syncing properly. If you haven't already, please check whether you've linked the Steam account you used to purchase the game to the EA account you'd like to play on. You can do so by accessing the Connected Accounts tab of your EA account page and looking under the 'Linked' section.

Hello I had a similar issue. Everytime I open the game it required me to go on upgrade but my EA account was linked to my Steam. I fixed it by copying the files from the EA games folder into the FC26 folder that steam creates when you hit download. Then I went to properties of FC26 in steam, and clicked on uninstall game and I cleared the steam cache (might not need to do this, try restarting the app first). Then I opened steam again, went to install FC and instead of download it started verifying the files. After it finished I clicked Play via steam and the game was now synced for good.
