Missing Linked DLC Content

Hi all,

EA live chat support told me my issue is a bug and to post in the forum or contact developers on X, so here I am just doing what they told me to even though it doesn't seem like anyone here has the ability to activate products on EA accounts.

I bought the deluxe edition of Sims 4 and two expansion packs in 2022 on Steam. I linked my account to Origin at the time. I later got a Mac--honestly, I feel like there was a Sims 4 mac version on Steam at some point but oh well. When I got around to setting up Sims 4 again, I found EA didn't give Steam a Mac version when they released the free edition of Sims 4. Steam has Mac games, so this makes no sense for a big company like EA to provide a Mac version on their platform and not on Steam. It's not like it doesn't exist! So, I had to play on Origin. I tried to setup Sims 4 through Origin on my Mac by downloading the only possible version I could since Sims 4 switched to a free edition--the free edition. Doing this I ran into an error preventing download as Origin said I already owned a version of Sims 4 that was better, which tells me Origin/EA knows what content I paid for. I don't remember what they did to fix that. Probably wiped all my ownership data of Sims 4 to force me into a free version. So, now I can play the free version on Mac but have none of my DLC that I paid for.

Live chat tells me that this is an emerging issue. Two years emerging in my experience, which isn't emerging. It's a fully emerged, known, neglected, and ignored issue. It doesn't take a lot of time to just activate a digital product on an account, so I don't understand the run around. EA seems to treat their customers like dirt, but I'm doing what they told me. So, please forum, prove me wrong and use your powers to restore my content. Thank you.
