Summarize your bug After logging into the EA App, the app opens to the hub screen for a few seconds before crashing and displaying a dialog saying "The app crashed unexpectedly". The cycle repeats if I click on the restart app button in the dialog.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Open the app, log in (if not already) and wait a couple seconds for it to inevitably crash.
What happens when the bug occurs? The app crashes and displays a dialog saying "The app crashed unexpectedly"
What do you expect to see? The app should not crash and I should be able to play games I have purchased.
This has been going on for about a week now. The newest updated version of the app was said to fix this issue but it hasn't for me.

Could you please attempt to repair the EA app and see if the problem continues? If it does, please create and share an Error Reporter ID in this thread, along with the EA app logs. This will allow our teams to delve deeper into possible reasons behind this issue.

Summarize your bug Every time I open the EA App, it just crashes. I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling on a different directory, clearing app cache, deleting C++ redistributable and nothing works. I tried the app on my brother's laptop and it worked just find. Please help

Whenever I tried to open the EA App or directly play a game made by EA. It was telling me that it unexpectedly crashed, not even EA support could help me. Is this happening to anyone else?
Pretty much in the same situation. Deleted the app, reinstalled it, cleared the cache, repaired it... Nothing works.

By following the app on the task manager, I have a hunch that the problems stem from EADesktop.exe.

Uptade on situation: tried deleting everything related to the EA App from my computer, including games. After reinstallation, the result is the same: the app crashes unexpectedly after logging in.

Since an update on 19th of March 2024 the EA App crashes unexpectedly every time it is started on my Windows 7 64bit PC (6 Games installed). It has been working fine before. Clearing the cache did not yield results, deactivating Bitdefender (Antivirus) did not yield results, Windows 7 is the most actual state possible. my EA app has decided not to run anymore. Every time I try to open it, it opens a window with a error message, saying something went wrong.
So far I have tried to restart the PC (several times), repair the app, clear the app cache and de- and reinstalled the app (several times).
No luck so far. I've seen this be an issue for multiple players in the last months
Do you have any tips to try or estimates as to when this bug will be fixed?

My app keeps crashing when I'm trying to open it.
Over the last week I tried on several days to start the app and every time it told me the app unexpectedly crashed before it can even open. There is no error code, just the option to send a crash report and restart or close the app.
I've tried repairing the app and deinstalling and reinstalling it, also in combination with restarting the PC.
I honestly don't know what else to do.

Ive had it for awhile now since EA updated the APP. I cant even log in to the app and on the rare occasion that i can login, all my games are not available, i can see their outline but when i click them nothing happens .
Furthermore, i am unable to play offline as well

I just got the notification that Origin is not working on my MacBook anymore, and I need to download the EA App. After installing the EA app, it won't start. I keep getting crash notifications and that's it. After contacting EA, the only workable solution was to reinstall the EA App. It doesn't work and I keep getting crash notifications. Now I can't play my Sims 4 game anymore. How soon will this problem be fixed? I payed enough money for The Sims 4, even bought a new pack a week ago. I play this game for years, and now I can't play all of a sudden because of a faulty app. I am so dissapointed for the "help" I got.. Are there any workable solutions for my expensive game?
The EA app doesn't even start. It just instantly says it's crashing and that's it.. And still it is. The last solutions was: just wait.
I am running into a similar issue. I got prompted to download the EA app on origin and it worked fine with no issues for a few days. Yesterday, I tried to open the app but it kept crashing. It said that the EA app was not supported on mac. I followed all the steps from the link you provided but the app still wont download. I don't know what else to do :/

Had this problem a month ago. It is now back again. App crashes. I get the "backround services crashed" popup. Manual update does not do anything except confirming the app is already up to date. And that's it. Well done (again).

Can't load the EA app today. All was working fine yesterday. I tried multiple things to fix this. Made sure my Windows and Visual c++ is up to date. I have no other apps etc run in the background or systems blocking the app.
I tried to open the EA app as administrator, rename the EA folders, and uninstalled/reinstalled the app. None of it is working and I always get the same error message: The app crashed unexpectedly.
All was fine yesterday. Any help would be appreciated.
