Why is it so hard for you to just roll back the update? Put the app version back in the previous one while you figure it out, we're all literally unable to play our games because you force us to use this stupid app, and while the games are working fine, the app is the only thing in our way.

I tried multiple things to fix this, and spoke with 4 EA advisors, but nothing has helped.
I tried the following:
- Made sure my Windows and Visual c++ is up to date. (I uninstalled and newly installed Visual c++).
- Checked my internet connection, it is stable and fast.- Cleared my PC space.
- Run a clean boot/PC.
- Cleared the app data cache for anything EA related.
- No other apps etc run in the background or systems blocking the app.
- De-installed my Anti Virus program.
- Turned down my UAC.
- Unplugged the PC, waited and plugged back in.
- Renamed the EA folders.
- Set EA App to run as administrator.
- Uninstalled and reinstalled the EA App multiple times.
- Deleted the Sims 4 folder.
- Uninstalled Sims 4.- 11 months ago
I have done all this too and am about to lose my mind!

Any kind of time frame yet EA? As you know, you have a big group of people here who cannot play games that are working fine because your broken app won't let us in to play them.
The app crashed unexpectedly error still appears 6 days after I first reported it. Longer for other people.
Please give us an approx time frame that it'll be fixed by.... ..are we talking hours or days?
Right? It's been days since I've been able to access anything on the EA App, because of "the app crashed unexpectedly" error. I think it's unacceptable that this has been going on for a week now, and I'm still unable to access the library of games I paid for.
@EA_Leeuw is there any time frame from EA Re fixing the issue? So many of us are still getting the same error message: app crashed unexpectedly.
We have all not been able to play our games which we paid a lot of money for, and which are perfectly fine. Only the broken EA app stops us from accessing them. It has been over a week now!
A lot of us spoke to advisors etc, and tried everything possible.
How much longer should we wait? Any form of update or communication from EA would be much appreciated. We have all waited long enough!

RESOLVED - Post Marked as Solution for Visibility
Hi everyone,
A new update, v13.188, has been released for the EA app on Windows. This update seems to include a fix for the "The app crashed unexpectedly" or "Background Services Crashed" error on the Windows EA app. Make sure your EA app is up-to-date or check if an update is waiting to be installed.
The EA app usually updates itself periodically during startup. This is true for both Windows and Mac. However, Windows users also have the option to manually update the client. You can do this by following the provided steps here.Still experiencing the "The app crashed unexpectedly" or "Background Services Crashed" error?
If you're still experiencing the "The app crashed unexpectedly" or "Background Services Crashed" error in the EA app, even after updating the client to v13.188, clearing the EA app cache (if possible), or repairing the EA app (only possible on Windows), please share the following requested data with us where possible (click on "Spoiler" to reveal info):
