Re: Battlefield 1 Steam Won't Launch x EA app

problem is solved

SOLUTION

Steps:
1) Close Steam
2) Install EA App (if you don't have it)
3) Login in EA App and go to Config -> App & turn off overlay.
4) Download Origin from here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Origin-Client-Web-Technical/Downloading-and-installing-Origin-Windows-and-Mac/m-p/11915666/thread-id/134033
5) Install it and login, then go to Config -> Origin in game & turn off overlay.
6) Start the game from Origin, this will automatically start the game from Steam, will not be able to open the EA App and since you don't need the overlay will use Origin instead.
7) Play all old EA games that interest you before Origin die..

I was able to play (or at least get to the menu) in BF1, MEC and NFS2015 (NFS Heat works with the new launcher).
I'm going to post this on the three forums since it took me all night to get them running and I couldn't play anything because it was so late..
If it works share it.

  • Unfortunately it didn't work for me, neither in origin nor in EA app does the game appear to me, only from Steam.
In origin I can add "non-origin" games to the library but when I add Battlefield1 it says I have to activate it with a code I don't have.

  • @HOLYLlGHT i dont have origin or the game or account on it. also EA app is blank screen there is nothing to do with it even reinstalling it its the same. and still cant launch for a week of doing everything and solutions discussed..
