Re-installing The Sims 4

I uninstalled the sims 4 and changed the location to a hard drive,

I then uninstalled the EA app and tried to re-install the sims 4 but it keeps popping up with a message saying failed to finish installing the final stages when it gets to 98%.

Can anyone help.

  • Fr1ck3r01  If you still need help, please list the file path you've chosen to install Sims 4, and also list the format of the drive.  You can find the latter by clicking Windows key-X and opening Disk Management.

  • puzzlezaddict sorry for the long reply. I have chosen the D://games pathway but it says there is an error installing. I have a screenshot below of my pathway and it saying error.

    Thank you in advance

  • Fr1ck3r01  Sorry for the late reply, but this isn't what I'm asking.  If you open Disk Management, as I described initially, you'll see the format of the drive, not what type of drive it is but how it's configured in software.  Possibilities include NTFS and FAT32/exFAT.  If it's not NTFS, choose to reformat as NTFS, which will wipe the drive, and then try again to install Sims 4.
