LITERALLY A LIFE SAVER I'VE BEEN TRYING TO FIX THIS FOR DAYS SINCE THE BUG SHOWED UP OUT OF NOWHERE
I have the same issue with Battlefield 3.
But this issue appears only when I download the game from Steam.
If the game were downloaded via EA App, the game would launch without any issues.
I tried to move all Battlefield 3 files downloaded from EA App to the Steam folder. When I press "Download Game" on Steam, instead of downloading it starts the file integrity check. And almost at the end, Steam will download more files. After this, the game will not work even if you try to launch it via EA App.
Looks like it's a problem with Steam files. Probably cloud files are old or have a setting to launch Origin but it's gone already.
