"The origin account currently logged in does not have access to the installed language for this game. Please reinstall the game in an allowed language or log in with a different account"

Trying to launch Need for Speed 2016 with EA Play (Gamepass) and repeatedly failing. Is there a solution and/or has EA acknowledged this as a problem? I've already uninstalled and reinstalled both EA Desktop and Origin.
