A quick and dirty fix for the "You Don't Have Access" error in EA app is to create a new EA account. This solution may not work for everyone, but if you don't mind having a new EA account and just want your Steam games to work, try this simple solution:
- Unlink your current EA account from Steam.
- Create a new EA account.
- Open an EA game on steam
- Login to the EA app with your new EA account.
- The Steam games should now work.
This solution may not be ideal, but it will allow you to play your purchased Steam games.
- @جيمي باكسترز I thought I'd try unlinking my EA account and then linking the same account again first before making a new one to see if that fixes it. No. Now, I can't unlink my Steam account for 6 months. Is there a solution to this problem?
- @Jimmybaxters sadly i have games that i bought/redeemed directly from EA. Also I can't unlink my acc for 6 months. Btw, would it mean losing all my FUT23, 22 and 20 progress?
@K4rpiq_ When I unlinked my old EA account with my Steam account it did warn me that ALL game progress (EA cloud sync?) would be lost. As I have a local backup of the affected game saves this was not a problem for me.
As for your issue with the six months I have no personal experience with this. Quoting @Svetlana75-ka on this issue: ''You must create a ticket, afterwards you will be offered contact option and just choose live chat.''
I had high hopes that new EA account trick would work, but no. Unlinked and made a new EA account and linked that to my steam and still got the “you don’t have access” error.
