    Tried it, multiple issues happened and I eventually hit the same brick wall. 

    First issue that showed up was that the EA launcher would not open. It just said that the background services had crashed and tried to update the launcher. The little update window popped up and stated that the app was up to date and then closed.  

    Only way to get the app to open was to navigate back to the first step of doing a clean boot, finding the EABackgroundServices and turn that back on to running. 

    Then the EA app would open. Great. getting somewhere.

    Next issue, when trying to launch Dragon age, I just get the warning: that it failed to sync, I can wait five minutes or attempt to load anyways, but that might destroy my cloud saves if I do.  I'm not going to attempt that and potentially loose 200+ hours of gameplay to be a test subject.  So I waited about five minutes and tried again. I'm back to getting "Dragon Age: Inquisition is already running, Go ahead and start playing. It's a good one" 

    I stopped there, let me tell you, that error message is HIGHLY insulting at this point.  Telling someone to enjoy the game they've purchased that won't run.... Maybe after you look at getting some better app developers, you look into some better PR people as well. 

    Leeuw I appreciate your attempts to help, but it's not seeming like the people behind the curtain here are really trying.

    I tried the clean boot method but unfortunately it didn't fix the problem. I've bought the expansion pack SPORE Galactic Adventures, which uses a separate executable. Upon pressing play, the game loads. But it's using the SPORE executable instead, both of them are different games.

    It seems like the team working on the EA App got confused between the two. They're quite old games from 2009, and worked differently back then.

    Clean boot it´s not working for me. And also appears the new message: it says that sims it´s already running, enjoy the game or something like that, I´m from Spain, we have the same problem here.

    The new 'is already running, enjoy the game' message genuinely makes me wanna throw my laptop across the room. What kinda pisstake is this!!

    yes ypu have fix The EA App

    but when i click on Spore Galactic Adventures icon i don’t get to play Spore Galactic Adventures, it get me to only play Spore

    Spore GA are not a Add On but a Expansion Pack to Spore

    please fix it

    Hi everyone,

    We’ve resolved the "An update is required to launch this game..." error when launching games through the EA app or a game shortcut by updating the client to version 13.297 or higher.

    Since the fix went live, we’ve seen a significant drop in reports, indicating the issue is resolved for most players. However, some are now experiencing a new "...is already running..." error when trying to launch games.

    If you encounter this error, please check Task Manager (preferably in the Details tab) for any lingering game processes. If you find any, close them and try launching the game again. If the error persists and no processes are found, we’ll need new EA app Error Reports and logs to investigate further (see below).

    Please share the following details:

    • Which game(s) are you experiencing this issue with?

    • If Windows, what Windows version are you using?

    • If Mac, what macOS version are you using?

    • What version of the EA app have you installed? You can check it HERE.

    • Share your EA app Error Reporter ID in the thread using the steps HERE.

    • Collect and attach logs of the EA app to your post using the steps HERE.

    I know it is a EA App problem, for there I have Origin i could  Play  Spore Galactic Adventures

    and now I have EA App and I Can not Play Spore GA more

    But Can I fix it so we again Can Play Spore Galactic Adventures

    Still doesn't work, just getting "already running". I will not be providing any further information, running any more tests, uploading anymore reports. I've already spent hours of my personal time troubleshooting your problem. Enough so that if my boss was paying me my current rate, I'd have more than enough to buy every game on the EA app and then some you have stolen both my money and hours of my life from me. 

    I will not be purchasing any more EA products, and will actively encourage others to do the same by sharing this experience with them. 

    That a company can sell a product, and so poorly stand behind what they sell that they just do not care to actually keep their product functional is just sad. This is the exact reason why more regulation is needed to keep companies like this in check, and force them to only supply working products.

    You know it’s not fixed and have admitted as such in your previous post. People have done everything you’ve asked to this point and you still don’t have it fixed. 

    What the customers now need is an avenue to escalate this issue above you and your team’s heads because you don’t have the ability or drive to fix the actual issue. A refusal to do that is a refusal to give paying customers what they have payed for. Threatening to close the issue and pat yourselves on the back as if you’ve actually done your jobs is just offensive.

    Date of problem still not resolved: 9/21/2024

    Problem first reported: 8/28/2024

    Steps I took on 9/21

    1. launched the "ea app updater". states that the ea app is up to date.

    2. launched the sims 4. it does not launch. task manager shows no elements of the game launched.

    3. Repaired the sims 4 game. does not launch, claims it is already playing. task manager shows no elements of the game launched.

    4. Submitted ANOTHER error ticket to ea.

    Computer: windows 11 version 10.0.22631

    Manufacturer: Lenovo

    Model 90LW00atus

    Ea app version 13.301.0.5814(88417-e239f65dd9)

    I included the winrar-ed folder in the attachments below.

    @EA_Leeuw, I have a question for the dev team: Is it too hard to release time for 1 developer to track changes made in the branch and find the part that causes this issue? Question to Products: guys, this question is not about customer satisfaction, it is about failed delivery of services to customers. Should have higher priority, huh?
    It is far away from being resolved.
