- @mconnolly1911 that worked for me 2
Running as an administrator didn't work for me ☹️
I found this guide and one of the methods was to rename the folders associated with the EA Desktop app. This fixed the crashing issue with my app: https://computersluggish.com/guides/ea-app-crashing-errors/
There are a few other steps on there that might help others though 🙂
I have been playing sims 4 from steam for ages. Yesterday I tried to launch it and everything happened as normal. the EA app launched then crashes and restarted but doesn't launch the sims game. I have tried everything in this thread and uninstalled both the sims from steam and the ea app and then reinstalled sims on steam and then launched it so a new version of the ea app is launched. it still doesn't work. I have tried to launch the sims 4 directly from the ea app the same thing happens. Any help is much appreciated.
Playing on a good PC win 11 64bit, 16g ram, both steam and the ea app are on my d drive. I am at a loss I have done nothing but turn off my computer overnight since the last time it worked.
I'm having the same issue! Great computer, just turned it off and went back 4 hours later and...NOW it says its a launch failed, something on EA's side went wrong. No clue how to fix this as I re-downloaded the game already, restarted my computer, and have tried all day to get back in...What is the fix? I am the admin on my computer!
- @SourLemon33 Sorry to necro a post, I was having Jade Empire freezing (with it saying "not responding" in task manager) a few minutes after starting it up. I was trying all the common fixes and nothing worked until I found this, even though the EA App didn't appear to be crashing, so thank you!
