My solution to INST-14-1618 was to go to Task Manager and end task 'Windows Installer', then run EAappinstaller.exe as 'admin'. Apparently EAappinstaller calls Windows Installer but detected that it was already in use. Ba-da-bing it worked. Hope it works for you.

hey so what do u mean by run EAappinstaller.exe as admin? having the same issue first it was error code 14-1601
then it was error code 14-1618. I'm so close to calling a tech support person to look into the problem. I will pay at this point maybe reaching out to u would save me some money.
