Hi everyone,

Thank you for sharing your concerns with us regarding the EA app not showing your Game Library correctly (showing greyed-out game tiles etc.) since May 22nd, 2024.

I have made this thread for players who are NOT in Turkey. For players in Turkey who are experiencing this issue, please go here and share the requested data on page 1 of the thread.

For everyone NOT in Turkey, this thread is for you.

Please share the following information with us so we can pass it on to the teams for investigation (some items include hyperlinks to show how to gather the information):

An EA app Error Reporter ID

EA app logs

Your current EA app version

Did you check for any EA app updates?

Are you on Windows or Mac?

If Windows, what Windows version

If Windows, did you already perform a Windows Clean Boot?

If Mac, what macOS version

Are you using any sort of VPN and/or network DNS filter like a Pi-Hole/AdGuard, or other types of network-restricting software?

Are you using a Pay As You Go internet service, mobile internet connection, or any kind of school/college network?

Did you already check if you can connect your system to a different network and see if you can make the app function that way?

  • @EA_Leeuw Adding "sdk.split.io" to my whitelist in Adguard fixed it the issue of my library not loading. Thanks for posting this.

    Thank you. This resolved my issue.
    I use Private Internet Access VPN with MACE enabled. My games do not appear in my library. When I closed EA App, disabled MACE in the PIA options, Reconnected PIA, I was able to load the EA App with all my library appearing again.
  • I have posted earlier about the library loading only black squares.

    @xXGh0stReap3rXx That is the fix. I added it to my whitelist in Pi-Hole. What's odd, was I didn't see that line as blocked yesterday when I was having the problem.

    Have not done anything to my EA App or my game recently. However, opened up the EA App on Thursday evening and the icons for Sims 3 & 4 were missing. There were only darker spots where the game icons should be. Same in the Library. I can start the games, but only by going offline and then opening the game and then going back online once in game. 

    Any ideas on why this is happening or has anyone else experienced this?

    So...why? I can't launch my game because it simultaneously in and not in my library. ....why?

    Well, I am on a Mac so I don’t have any firewall programs running. Not sure what else to do. 

  • Games are not showing in my library which makes it hard to launch them.  I have uninstalled, reinstalled, logged out and back in.  I have cleared the cache, but nothing is working.  The app is online because all of the store content loads just fine.  The only thing not working is my games showing up.  It is just black squares that never load any pictures or words.  Never had so many finicky problems with a game app and I have them ALL!!!

    4. Yes i just did

    5. Windows

    6. Windows 11

    7. Yes i performed a clean boot and the issue is still there.

    8. No i am not using any VPN or DNS filter or any network restricting software

    9. No i am not using a Pay as You go internet service or mobile internet or school network.

    10. No i havent because I dont have any other network that i can try connecting to.

    I really hope I can get this solved.

    One of the replies suggested to change my DNS server on my device and that worked for me. So for those not using any VPN or pihole , try changing the DNS server on your Windows PC to google's DNS (i dont know if it would work for Mac). You can google search how to change DNS on windows. (I dont know if i am allowed to link the specific article i used, but it was written by windowscentral if that helps). Hopefully EA can solve this issue from their end soon cause its crazy that we have to fix the problem this way.

  • @Fadeelah17 That worked for me! Tried everything, have my own router, so changing the DNS was easy enough. What sort of tom foolery is going on here!

    I have eafc installed, thats the one installed game it is showing, but it doesn't load the page (as the picture shows). When I browse other games, the games logo shows up correctly, but once I click into the game page, it doesn't load, so its impossible for me to install anything. I've tried reinstalling, clearing cache, and most of the things they suggested me to do in FAQ, still doesn't work, how can i solve this?

  • HI i had the same problem. but i couldnt find any of ther other stuff, but i know my ea should be up to date.

    i am a pc, windows 10 player, and it has not been because of our dns.

  • I'm having the same issue as the others. The library won't load and none of the game pages load. It hasn't worked for me for weeks, but I didn't care since I could still play the games when launching through steam, but I can't update the sims 4 to get the event items. I assumed it would have gotten fixed by an update at some point but apparently not. PLEASE FIX THE DAMN APP. I've tried the various solutions on here but nothing has worked yet.


  • I'm having the same issue as the others. The library won't load and none of the game pages load.
  • I haven't logged into my account for a couple of months, and now I can't access any games in the EA app. I wasn't having this issue before, and no new games installed since last log on.

    The list of installed games is empty, but when I go into the Library it says that there are 3 installed games, but just shows blank boxes where the images and details of the games would usually be, and I'm not able to click on any to take me to the game hubs.

    This is the same for games in my library, which I have 11.

    I'm able to search for games in the Browse area, but when I click into any game it just changes to a blank screen.

    The only way I'm able to access my installed games is to go into offline mode.

    I've tried App Recovery to clear the cache, and uninstalled and re-installed the app but I keep having the same issue.

    Are there any other actions I can take to fix this please?

  • My entire game library is missing. So I want to know when I will be refunded for my entire game library since i can not access anything I have paid for.
